Weil Gotshal Bankruptcy Malpractice Suit Revived

A bankruptcy appeals panel has revived a lawsuit brought by a Christian charity organization alleging Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP mishandled its Chapter 11 case, saying the litigation should be handled in state court.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Eighth Circuit ruled Friday that a bankruptcy judge should have remanded to state court the petition brought by the National Benevolent Association of the Christian Church and the state of Missouri rather than dismissing their claims.
